Encouraging Others to Give More

These days, many people seem to be less sensitive when it comes to donating and volunteering. There can be several factors that make people limit their generosity.

As a non-profit organization in Haiti, we encourage others to engage in volunteer work in various ways, such as the following:

  • Focus on specific individuals
People tend to help more when they specifically identify the person they are helping. For instance, giving out school supplies donations to a particular kid enrolled in a child care center in Haiti will allow the donor to see the difference they can make in the life of a child.
  • Make giving a part of their purpose
Tying up the act of giving into the identity and purpose of the person will help them to be more willing to be generous. They can focus on volunteering in children’s programs and make helping kids part of their purpose in life.
  • Experience the happiness of giving
You can also give them a glimpse of the happiness that a person can get when they give unconditionally. Volunteering and donating elicit positive feelings and is a joyful experience. Also, joining community volunteer work will help a person to engage with others who have the same cause and purpose.

Convincing and making another person understand the importance of volunteering and donating might be challenging at first, but you can get wonderful results in the future. Sharing your life’s purpose will help the life of another. BETHESDA COMMUNITY CHRISTIAN SERVICES shares the same advocacy of volunteering and donating as part of our community Christian services in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. You can also be a part of our cause by donating today!
